Colin Woolford – Driving Mentor
Colin Woolford
Colin brings a down-to-earth, practical approach to supporting young people, backed by a mix of hands-on trade experience and formal qualifications. Earlier in his career, he worked in basic carpentry and welding, giving him a strong foundation in problem-solving and working collaboratively with others.
Over the past decade, Colin has focused on building his skills in the community sector, completing a Diploma of Nursing and, more recently, a Certificate IV in Youth Work. His passion lies in supporting young people to grow in confidence and become the best version of themselves, whatever that looks like for them.
Colin first connected with Youth Options during his work placement, where his commitment and genuine connection with young people quickly stood out. This led to him securing a role as a Trade Assistant, and he’s been part of the team ever since. He enjoys creating a supportive, relaxed environment where young people feel heard, valued, and encouraged to take positive steps forward.
