Jacob has completed a Certificate IV in Youth Work and a Certificate IV in Community Services. After completing his Youth Work student placement at Youth Options, he continued volunteering for several months before officially joining the team as a Support Assistant. Since then, he has continued to support the delivery of Adult Community Education programs, particularly the Positive Communication through Podcasting program, while continuing to build his knowledge, confidence, and experience working alongside young people in a supportive and strengths-based environment.

Jacob is passionate about early intervention and believes that building genuine connections is one of the most important parts of effective youth work. He values trust, consistency, and understanding, and aims to create a safe and welcoming space where young people feel comfortable being themselves, developing confidence, and working toward their goals at their own pace. He is committed to supporting young people in a way that is approachable, respectful, and centred around their individual strengths and needs.

Outside of work, Jacob enjoys gaming and sim racing and is always up for a bit of
friendly competition.
